Death and Killing:
Death time is 24 real time hours from time of death. “Resurrection” takes place via DNA cloning in the Hospital Labs. Once Resurrected, your avatar will incur a long term memory loss unless someone has fished out your implant.
Any disputes on a death may be taken to an administrator. Please have a notecard of the event on hand along with reasons why it should be invalidated. Only a breach of rules can result in an invalidation.
A valid kill in 3088 requires the following components:
For Assassins:
1. The victims meter MUST be at 0.
2. You must state the reason for your kill. (example:- Your death has been contracted, this is not personal.)
3. You must use a minimum of 3 emotes.
4. The 3 emotes must be suitably descriptive (Emotes such as "takes out knife" .. "slits your throat" .. "watches you bleed to death" are not acceptable.)
5. You must provide a notecard of the death to an adminstator.
6. You must engage in at least 30 minutes of roleplay with the mark prior to concluding the contract.
If these requirements are not met, the death is invalid and rp resumes from the status immediately preceeding the kill.
For others:
1. You must personally roleplay for 30minutes with the victim before killing them.
2. You must have a good valid reason for the kill. (see below)
3. You must state the reason for your kill.
4. You must use a minimum of 3 emotes.
5. The 3 emotes must be suitably descriptive (Emotes such as "takes out knife" .. "slits your throat" .. "watches you bleed to death" are not acceptable.)
6. You must provide a notecard of the death to an admin.
7. The victims meter must be to 0.**On some occassions, death will be allowed via RP Combat. This will require player consent.
If these requirements are not met, the death is invalid and rp resumes from the status immediately preceeding the kill.
Valid reaons for a kill:
Avenging anothers death.
Assassins contracts.
Avenging Rape.
Treason.
Execution.
Stealing from a *FACTION* supply crate.
Major Roleplay Issues (Storyline).
In addition, a death may be ruled valid if it occurs as a natural and reasonable continuation of roleplay and the person dying chooses to roleplay it as such. In order for this to be valid the following requirements must be met.
1. It must occur during a period of captivity (Although capture is extremely rare in 3088).
2. It must follow substantial torture which would realistically result in death as a consequence (Torture is also extremely rare and only used in cases of information gathering).
3. There must be at least 1 hour of roleplay before death.
4. The captor/s must actively refuse, or clearly neglect to provide medical treatment for the injuries which are rp'd to cause the death. (You must ask for, or indicate in rp, that your situation requires medical treatment)
5. The death itself requires a minimum of 3 emotes.
6. The 3 emotes must be suitably descriptive.
7. You must provide a notecard of the death to an admin.
If these requirements are not met, the death is invalid, and the victim may either:
1 Accept suicide instead, removing themselves from rp for 7 days - OR
2 Resume rp from the status immediately preceeding the death rp.
The following are specifically excluded from acceptable reasons for a kill:
Any and all OOC reasons.
Avenging an alternative avatar's name known to be, or commonly believed to be your own.
Avenging a contracted assassin kill (unless notecarded proof of how you have obtained this knowledge is provided through "detective" work.)
Mass murders are not tolerated.Perpetuating cycles of revenge killing is not tolerated.
Looting and Stealing:
To loot items from player requires the following component:
1. A victims meter must be set to 0.
2. 1 descriptive search emote.
3. 2 descriptive "looting" emotes.
4. Perpetuating cycles of looting from the same player will not be tolerated.
To loot items from a Faction Crate requires the following:
1. Looting from a faction base may -ONLY- happen when it is "Night" in the SIM.
2. It will require an intricate break in which will consist of at least 5 descriptive emotes.
3. It will require at least 3 descriptive seaching emotes.
4. It will require at least 3 descriptive emotes to open the crate: assuming it locked.
5. Any avatar "looting" will have to -WALK- out of the base (Assuming they are carrying something).
6. Avatars who have looted from a faction base will not be able to fire/swing a weapon until they exit the base (With the assumption they are carrying goods).
7. If the looting avatar is taken down, they will have to return the stolen goods.
8. At least one member of the faction being looted must be online.
9. A notecard of the process must be sent to an administrator.
